Autonomous 1 explores the generative connection between digital audio and video. The audio, created through a generative process, produces an endless, evolving soundscape. Visually, it draws inspiration from Chladni patterns [sand forms on vibrating plates] using a mathematical equation to draw real-time 2D velocity maps which manipulate a particle system. The sound frequencies manipulate this equation, synchronising sound and visuals.
